National Apprenticeship Week 2020 06/02/2020
Catherine Franklin, Head of HR
While we may only have had two apprentices to date, we are currently recruiting a third and looking at opportunities in other areas of the business too. We believe in supporting local talent and offering a chance to those passionate about growing their career with us.
Jack and Will both had different entry points – Jack had just finished A-Levels and was looking to pursue a career in Marketing when the MD talent-spotted him working at a local restaurant and Will had finished his GCSEs and knew he wanted to work in Sales and spotted our Business Admin Apprenticeship as an opportunity.
It can be daunting joining a busy company no matter what your experience, but it’s important to remember we all started somewhere. Everyone here is friendly and helpful, supporting Apprentices (and all staff) however they can – there’s a real sense of team and family.
I think Jack and Will have done exceptionally well here at Eurostar and we’re very proud of their achievements to date. Jack has even been shortlisted as a finalist in the “Apprentice/Young Person of the Year” Chamber of Commerce Business Awards!
Ultimately, both are in key roles, helping to make a real difference to the business and we’re excited at what the future holds. However, rather than read what I have to say – see what they have to say themselves;
